👉 The Yarn Zone
Remembering The Indigo Lady - Ruby Ghaznavi (1935-2023) - she was a global authority on natural/vegetable dyes. She was from Bangladesh but was determined to get natural dyes out to the world where chemical dyes are cheaper and easier to procure.
She was a teacher before venturing into the world of colour. That skill came in handy when she conducted week-long workshops in all these countries to revive natural colours and rid the world of chemical dye waste.
Rest in peace - while you rest, your legacy in sustainable fashion will continue! Let us commit to buy natural dye yarns and have more sustainable future for our kids/grandkids.
That is it for today, see you tomorrow!
